Hey LT...

Be glad it's Kraft (who proably won't change anything) and not Hershey's, which is like the world's worst chocolate. Cadbury actually might have improved Hershey's, IMO.
No, it's going to be hard to compete when your product tastes like cocoa-flavored cardboard. At least they have Reese's. Which is perfect because it's peanut butter, of course.

“It’s going to be relatively hard for them to compete globally as a company that’s one-third the size of its two largest competitors,” said Hutson.

Re: Hey LT...
Random fact: Kristin loves olives, but she hates olive loaf. Mainly because I know what the olives are, but the loaf part scares me. I'm pretty sure it's a by-product of meat by-product.

Oh, trust me, I was well aware of the deal, it's been headline business news for months.
I can't claim to be thrilled. Quite the opposite in fact. Kraft are buying it with a monumental big defecit and it's still not beyond possibility that they'll chose to pull chunks out of Cadbury to recoup the money.
Lot of peple are VERY unhappy about it. Not just because they see it as an iconic British business sliding out of the country, but because Cadbury has a very strong history and was founded on principals that were focused on the betterment of life for the workforce, and the chairman of the board essentially declared that actually they were running the company for the betterment of the shareholders, then took the money and ran, leaving the workforce facing the possibility of job cuts.
General opinion is that the founding Cadbury family are probably spinning (or perhaps just Quaking) in their graves.
That said, they said the same thing when Pepsi took over Walkers crisps so what the fuck do I know?
Though I'll admit to being irked if they move production from Bourneville, I really will.
