Re: Deb on Martha Stewart
I think that was one from Australia? However, the painting of Oscar was absolutely gorgeous!! I like the fact that Deb was introduced as an actress first, before being said she's Hugh Jackman's wife. I agree with Pat - probably no one had a clue who she was prior to that.

emtee wrote:Whenever actors describe themselves as artists, I fully expect to see some primitive impressionistic splattering. (I know there are exceptions). So a nice surprise from Deb.
Poor Martha obviously read her notes and assumed Deb was a Wolverine producer by virtue of her Seed partnership. Deb says flat out no. No elaboration to help explain why Martha was mislead.
But Seed WAS one of the production companies on Wolverine - when Deb said no, I said "wait a minute...."

Re: Deb on Martha Stewart
Perhaps she only considers herself to be a producer if she's actively involved. She wasn't listed as a producer for "Deception" either.
I checked imdb and she has the following producer credits:

Yeah, it's weird, because this is listed under Hugh ("Russell"? First I'm hearing about that one). I would have thought they would have the same producing credits.

Re: Deb on Martha Stewart
I saw Russell on IMDB a few days ago, clicked on it and thought "this has to be THE STUPIDEST MOVIE IDEA EVER" so yea, glad it never got any publicity if it's true.

Re: Deb on Martha Stewart
I can only guess that, as a *part* of Seed, they each take individual productions on behalf of the company. Which I guess makes sense, you probably don't need three producers when one will suffice, and it frees up the others to persue other things at the same time. Get more stuff going at once.
So while Seed was one of the production companies involved in Wolverine, it wasn't one of her projects. Same way Fox was one of the production companies but not every producer working for Fox got a credit for it.

Re: Deb on Martha Stewart
As far as I remember only Hugh's and JP's names were listed as producers for X-Men Origins... don't know what that means if on the other hand Seed was involved and Deb is a partner there.

I went to look at "Russell" and it looks like it's for real. One of the writers from "Happy Feet" another who appeared in "The Prestige" as an actor but also came up with the story for "Tooth Fairy" and someone else. You know Hugh just wants to do a cameo in a koala suit.

Wasn't one of his first "roles" "Kooey Koala" for a zoo? I remember something from an interview about that. Although I could be wrong...

Ah, thanks for the link
*snorts at the idea of sending Hugh into the yard with a chainsaw*
He'd come back missing vital appendages. You know it to be true.

Re: Deb on Martha Stewart
I think it was taken in Ethiopia (Ded showed one more pic with Ethiopian children where she looked just like on that family pic and also I think so 'cos of Ava's tunic which has very traditional african ornament)narrows101 wrote:Thanks for capturing that photo - I was hoping someone would!
